What is Google Ads?
Maybe you already have some understanding of it or have heard of Google Ads and still don’t really know what it entails. Anyway: Google Ads is the advertising program of the largest and most used search engine in the world, Google. There’s a good chance that you too use this search engine (almost) daily. You can imagine that when your ad appears on Google, it attracts a lot of views.
Google offers the possibility to advertise on specific search terms. Super convenient, because this way those who are looking for your specific product or service automatically find your ad. So you know for sure that those who see your ad are actually looking for such a product or service.
A SELECTION OF OUR most remarkable Cases!
In the cases, we share some of our most remarkable achievements and tell the story behind the successes. At ROXTAR, we strive to push boundaries, exceed goals, and create online marketing strategies that not only stand out but also have a measurable impact.
The goal of outsourcing Google Ads
Google Ads offers the possibility to advertise via Google. But this is actually the only thing the program does. Creating and publishing the ad is something you have to do completely yourself. This might not sound very difficult at first. Especially when you already have an idea of how to best reach your target audience.
However, setting up an effective advertising campaign is not as easy as it seems. The goal of the ad depends on your wishes. Do you want visitors to make a purchase on your website? Or do you want them to fill out a survey, for example? An ad via Google Ads doesn’t necessarily ensure that visitors to your website actually take action.
Your ad only ensures that more visitors end up on your website. It’s then your website that needs to ensure that visitors actually take action. Outsource Google Ads to ROXTAR? Then you know for sure that your ad will attract a large number of visitors. With our knowledge, experience and expertise, our Google Ads specialists know exactly how to set up a successful ad.

Image or text ads?
Google Ads offers the possibility to advertise in different ways. In many cases, a distinction is made between image and text ads.
- Image ads are ideal for conveying your story well. These are usually placed on the Google Display Network. This network includes all other websites of Google and its partners. An image ad is, for example, a banner in a YouTube video or your own video explaining your business.
- Text ads appear mainly in Google Search. These appear above the search results and come up as soon as a user types in a certain search term. Which search term this is, you have to set yourself. And that also requires some knowledge.
What else?
Alright, there are also several other ways you can advertise via Google Ads. A very well-known one is, for example, Google Shopping. Some find it amazing, and others are not such big fans of it. There’s a very good chance you’ve come across a Google Shopping ad. These are the ads that appear at the top of the page when you’ve typed the name or description of a certain product in the search bar. You then see an image, name and price of the specific – or a relevant – product you searched for.
You can imagine that – depending on the chosen search term – a large number of users can quickly and easily purchase a product on your website this way. You can also set up a remarketing campaign. Perfect when you want to specifically target those who have already visited your website but haven’t (yet) taken the desired action.

How high will my ad appear?
This completely depends on how you set up your ad. And that’s why outsourcing Google Ads to ROXTAR is so important. You compete with other advertisers for the best ad placement. A real competition. Don’t set up your campaign properly? Then it might even be that your ad doesn’t appear at all. Such a waste of time, effort and money. Google weighs various factors to determine which ad appears at the top. Two of them are most important.
1. The competition
So you choose a certain keyword or search term that you’re going to advertise on. When users type this term, they end up at your ad. If you respond well to the competition, of course. You probably won’t be the only one using this search term. The more other advertisers, the smaller the chance that you’ll appear at the top. You can respond to this in two ways:
- When you set up a campaign via Google Ads, you pay the search engine using the CPC method. Also called Cost Per Click. This means – in case you hadn’t guessed – that you pay per click. A user only has to click on your ad, and you pay a certain amount to Google for that. You can indicate yourself how much you want to pay per click. But the more advertisers, the higher you have to bid to appear at the top. Of course, the amount of the CPC also depends on the search term you choose. And that brings us to the next point:

- The second way you can respond to your competition is by choosing specific keywords. It’s super important to choose these carefully. The trick is to choose a keyword that a relatively large number of users type, but where there’s still little competition to be found. This way you keep your CPC as low as possible and the chance that you get many visitors to your website is considerably higher. Your ad will appear at the top faster. But how do you do this? Make your keyword as specific as possible. Do you have a hair salon? Then don’t choose the keyword ‘hairdresser’.
This word is probably searched for very often, but there will already be extremely much competition targeting it. Instead, you can add the place name where your hair salon is located. Is your hair salon located in a big city with lots of competition? To make it even more specific, you can add a special treatment or cutting technique to the keyword, for example. Do you specifically focus on cutting men’s or women’s hair? Then that’s a good term to add to your keyword!
2. Quality score
Google evaluates your advertising campaigns and keeps track of how successful your previous campaigns have been. Have many users clicked on your ad? Then Google will – in a sense – give your next ad priority. This applies to every company that places ads via Google Ads, of course. A well-performing campaign doesn’t immediately mean that your next ad will appear at the top. The quality score is indicated using points 1 to 10, where 10 is the highest.
Did you get a very high score? Then your CPC can go down considerably. The chance that you secure an ad spot is quite high anyway. Especially when there’s not much competition on your keyword. Besides the number of users who clicked on your ad, Google also weighs the SEO score of your website, the relevance of the keyword and the quality of the landing page.
The advantages
Placing ads via Google Ads brings many advantages. If applied correctly, of course. Outsource Google Ads to ROXTAR? Then you know for sure that you can benefit from the advantages below!
- Targeted. Because you place your ad on a certain keyword, you know for sure that it reaches your target audience. Those who see your ad have already searched for a relevant search term. So more users will end up on your website and the conversion will increase significantly. That’s what we want to achieve, of course!
- Affordable. With Google Ads you can make it as crazy as you want. You set your own CPC, Cost Per Click. Of course, the amount of your bid determines where your ad appears, depending on the keyword you choose. The trick is to respond to this correctly and ensure that you pay as low an amount as possible to attract as many visitors as possible.
- Dynamic and measurable. Google offers the possibility to measure and track all results. This way you can analyze exactly what’s going well and what’s going less well. Super handy when a certain campaign could use some improvement. You analyze where the bottleneck is and then adjust this for better results. Easier said than done, of course, but that’s what you have us for ;).

We make online marketing fun
Why outsource Google Ads?
But why would you outsource Google Ads? You could just hire an SEA employee, right? Yes, you certainly can. However, you should first ask yourself whether there’s enough work for 1 FTE? Is your company large-scale or are you in rapid growth and is there a lot of work to be done? Then hiring an SEA specialist might provide the solution. But the most important question: do you earn back the money of your in-house SEA specialist at the bottom line?
Outsourcing Google Ads is certainly beneficial for SME companies. You’re not tied to an employee – which comes with a lot of extra costs – and you know for sure that your ads are in the hands of professionals. Moreover, we can constantly adjust how your ads should be set up.
How much does an average Google Ads campaign cost?
We’ve already talked about CPC, Cost Per Click, several times. To determine your CPC, you place a bid on a certain keyword and you pay that amount to Google every time a user clicks on your ad. You might think now that it’s impossible to start a good advertising campaign for a reasonable price. There are already countless competitors doing the same thing, so how do you ensure that your ad is still visible?

But nothing could be further from the truth. With the help of our knowledge and experience, we know exactly which search terms to choose for the lowest possible CPC and as much conversion as possible. Outsource Google Ads to ROXTAR? We can set up a campaign starting from €300 per month! A small investment with a big impact! This includes the following:
- Setting up campaigns
- Analysis of results
- Optimization of existing campaigns
- Keyword analysis
- Reporting
Google Ads vs. Social Media advertising
Still doubting where to best invest your ads? There are two big players in the online advertising world: Google and Meta. Both with an extensive network and many possibilities, but with a different approach. With both Google Ads and Social Media advertising, prices depend on your objectives. Google Ads is mainly used to increase the number of conversions.
In other words: Google Ads often ensure that a larger part of the visitors to your website actually take the right action. Whether this is buying a product, making a reservation or filling out a survey. Social Media advertising is often used for brand awareness, but also plays a role as supporting conversion.
You outsource Google Ads to ROXTAR, of course!
Making a choice between both options is difficult. You can compare the two big players based on costs, but – unfortunately – you can’t look at it so black and white. They support each other in different areas. An optimal online marketing mix for your business? In that case, you preferably use both. Have Social Media advertising and Google Ads managed by ROXTAR?
